Bullying Through a Parent’s Eyes: Keeping Tyler’s Voice Alive

Watch excerpts of the newly released film, Bully, and take part in a panel discussion with David and Tina Long, whose son Tyler took his own life to escape his tormentors. David and Tina will describe their son’s experience and his school’s response to the harassment. Tyler died three years ago on October 17, 2009.

Participants will have the opportunity to make a personal pledge against bullying.

This event is approved for CHES and social work credits with the following learning objectives:

  • Participants will be able to define bullying and describe the main types of bullying affecting youth
  • Participants will be able to identify the widespread effects of bullying, as well as identify methods that they can individually employ to combat bullying.
