ASHA Offers Great Benefits in Exchange for Six Hours of Your Time

Posted on May 29, 2012

Looking for a great way to grow as a school health professional? Look no further, and apply to volunteer for our 86th Annual School Health Conference in San Antonio, Texas, October 9 – 13. Volunteer spots are limited, so don’t wait to apply!

  • This one needs no explanation: In exchange for 6 hours of their time, volunteers are entitled to attend the entire conference for free!
  • Build your professional network. As a volunteer, you’ll be admitted to ASHA sponsored events including networking lunches, the President’s Reception and Awards Ceremony, and more.
  • Boost your knowledge of school health. No matter what volunteer duties you assume, you’ll be exposed to new programs, ideas and people you may not have encountered.
  • Enjoy intangible benefits – pride and a sense of accomplishment. In just six hours, your contribution to the success of the conference will ultimately have a positive impact on the field of school health.

Volunteer Tasks and Criteria

Volunteers must be active members of ASHA at the student level (or higher).
