Kim McLaughlin served as a Regional Coordinator and a State Center Coordinator of Coordinated School Health and Supportive Learning Environment initiatives in New York State for over 25 years. In these roles she worked collaboratively with many state, regional and local school and agency partners to build the capacity of school communities to develop, enhance and sustain healthy, safe and supportive schools that impact on student achievement and success. Kim has been an ASHA member for 10 years and is a current member of ASHA’s Future Leaders Academy. She serves as Chair of ASHA’s Health Coordinator Section, and as secretary of ASHA’s Council on Administrative Support for School Health. Kim earned a MS Ed in Health Science and a Certificate of Advanced Study as a school district and school building administrator from the State University of New York at Brockport.

Antionette Meeks, EdD, CPP, MCHES
Project Manager for District Developed Assessments
Florida Department of Education

Dr. Antionette Meeks is the Project Manager for District Developed Assessments in the Office of Race to the Top Assessments located at the Florida Department of Education. She previously was the Assistant Director and Health Coordinator for the Department of Education’s Office of Healthy Schools in the Bureau of Curriculum and Instruction.  She has focused on school-site health promotion for staff and was the team leader for her agency’s employee wellness program. Her other professional experiences include teacher of health and physical education, athletic coach, and district coordinator for comprehensive health education/safe and drug-free schools and the district wellness team leader for her school district. Dr. Meeks was an education and training specialist for K-12 tobacco use prevention education programs and coordinator of a college focused tobacco use prevention program for Florida’s successful tobacco program.  She has served as an adjunct professor at three state universities. She has taught at the undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels. Most recently, she taught a distance learning course for doctoral students. She is a Master Certified Health Education Specialist and Certified Prevention Professional.  She also holds several levels of certification in health promotion for staff and is an intrinsic coach in health and wellness. Dr. Meeks is the current chair for the American School Health Association’s Health Educator section, president of the Society of State Leaders of Health and Physical Education, and serves on the Florida School Health Association board.
