Are you social-media savvy or do you still refer to Facebook as “Facepage” and think Twitter is for the birds? Either way, ASHA would love for you to volunteer for our new Social Media Corps, which will officially kick off at our conference October 12-15 in Louisville, Kentucky.

If you’re a social media wiz, you can use your influence to help share memorable moments and key information from the conference.

If you’re still in the dark about this newfangled technology, ASHA’s Social Media Corps is a great way to start exploring. We’ll help you get started, and in no time, you’ll be confidently tweeting and posting your conference experience.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Post to ASHA’s Facebook Wall any notable info, news from the conference — sessions, keynotes, hallway conversations, events, etc.
  • Use #ASHAcon when you tweet about the conference.
  • Be a Social Media Ambassador – Wear an ID badge provided by ASHA. Explain to others what you are doing and answer their questions. Show them how to follow ASHA on Facebook and Twitter or refer them to the social media handout in their packet.
